Belton Tree Service is a locally owned tree company — not a franchise, not a call center, not a crew passing through on its way to the next town.
We've spent years working the trees of Bell County, and we've learned them the way you only can by being from a place. We know that the live oaks shading the older streets downtown ask for different care than the post oaks holding on out toward the lake, and that the pecans — the Texas state tree, and a fixture in yards all over Belton — drop heavy limbs when they're left unpruned. We've cleared cedar off pasture, ground out decades-old stumps, and pulled storm-split oaks off more than a few roofs.
How We Work
Our approach is simple, and it hasn't changed: show up when we say we will, do the job safely, clean up like we were never there, and charge a fair price. Tree work is dangerous — for your house, your power lines, and our crew — so we carry insurance and we don't cut corners on safety to save an hour.
We also believe in telling you the truth about your trees. If a tree can be saved with a good trim, we'll say so instead of selling you a removal. If an oak shouldn't be pruned right now because of oak wilt season, we'll tell you to wait. The goal isn't one quick job — it's being the tree company you call for the next twenty years, and the one you tell your neighbors about.
We Know Central Texas Trees
Tree care here isn't the same as it is anywhere else, and the difference matters. Our shrink-swell clay soil heaves with every drought-and-rain cycle and stresses roots all over the county. Oak wilt has been moving through Central Texas for years, which is why we're so careful about when and how we prune oaks. Drought thins canopies and weakens trees until pests and canker finish the job, and our winters can turn a healthy-looking tree into a pile of split limbs overnight — the ice that hit Bell County in early 2023 proved that all over again.
Knowing all of that is the job. It's the difference between a crew that just cuts wood and a crew that actually takes care of your trees — live oak, post oak, red oak, cedar elm, pecan, and everything else growing in your yard.
